Another Good Deed

I just did another good deed it feels really good! after lunch i helped my friends brother bought a computer. they don't know that much about computer so there i am to the rescue. i told them that its better if we just assemble the computer parts by parts so we can save money and we could get much better hardware. so thats what they did. after getting all the parts we went home and i started assembling the computer and installing the O.S. and some programs. they were very happy when they saw the computer running. as they were about to give me a fee for may work i just did not accept it. its for for free i said. anything for my friends family. so they thanked me and insisted me to just eat dinner in their house as a token of my help. its feels really good to help someone.

Me and my friend Don went to makati early this morning to apply in call center.both of us had only 3 hours of sleep and not really prepared ourselves for the interview. we just went there with full stupidity of confidence. its really cool there. lots of pretty chicks and more of those pretty chicks. (i think maybe its the only reason we went there. to see pretty sophisticated chicks lols) we both failed the interview. our mind was blank and all that we could think of is the hot chicks sitting beside us. Maniacs lols. few questions to test how we speak English. i already have good answers in my mind wtf! and i wasn't even able to use it. here are what the interviewer asked us and with my stupid alienated answers.

• why do want to work in a call center?

a. its cool to work in a call center. its great to work in a call center... ( WTF!!! i don't know where the hell i got that! its not even my answer that i saved in my mind. )

• what was your greatest achievement so far?

a. successfully manage a computer shop for almost 3 1/2 years and still going smooth... (again! not even a good answer..)

• what do you think is the situation of the Philippines right now?

a. the situation of our country right now is really bad. we have a corrupt government. but the still some big companies are slightly striving and prospering. (Hell yeah i really suck it out now! if i could punched my face in front of to interviewer ive already done it to wake some sense out. WTF was i saying there!!!)

then he handed me something to read. so i read the thing. and he said stopped. i think you really need to improve your accent you sound filipino the way you speak (uhm... i am a filipino lols. i get his point need to have an english accent.) and your delivery of words. you know how to use the language but i think your not just ready right now. you can try again after 30 days. and i just said yes you're right. i can notice how bad i speak english. i really sucked! thanks anyways. (i walk away with a grim smile and just cant believe WTF happened there! then i saw these really cute chick passed me by and smile it made me realized how stupid am i. the interviewers questions is really easy and i couldnt answer it correctly. shame! i said to myself i'll be back again. im not gonna let those who made it to work there enjoy the good heavenly place of pretty chicks. lols....)

anyways it was my 1st time applying in a call center. its not over im gonna get that job! lols.

Tripping

I found a picture of me looking like an idiot. it was from last year. it was an outing with friends. i couldn't find my bag so i used a black garbage bag to put my extra clothes. i couldn't also find my sandals so i just wore an old slipper i found below the bed. when we got into the resort people are looking at me and my friends are laughing. i said to my self what the hell are they laughing at. this is the latest fashion lols. then my fat friend accidentally stepped at my old worn out slipper and it just snapped. now i really look liked a garbage collector lols. my friends laugh out load. i don't know what came into my mind of using a garbage bag as a replacement for a bag. i could had borrowed my bro's bag. but its been fun doing that.

Well i think i still do it again. using a garbage bag as a bag lols.

Old me nothing much

This morning i was cleaning my drawer while watching AXN. my mind was set on Contender Asia. i was curious who will win in the next fight DZHABAR vs JOHN WAYNE PARR. they are both good fighters. John Wayne Parr is older and has more experience while dzhabar is younger but agile and packs a powerful right punch. then i saw my picture album. i saw my high school picture. as i looked at it. it made me think of what kind of a person i was back then. i was stubborn i was a brat and an easy go lucky person. i don't care much for school i always cut class. always involved in a fight. i don't have clear perspective of goals in my future. i might say i was a bit fearless. i don't really care what happens back then. I've been ganged-up and beaten during Junior Senior Prompt two times. i cried but i still stood up, what can i do against many. i don't really have a solid friend who will never leave me in a fight. most of my friends back then where afraid of getting into a fight. always fight alone mentally and physically. i don't know why i always end up in a fight. as much as i can i really avoid to fight or make enemies. theres something about me that anywhere i go fighting seems to follow me. it was when i was in college when i fell in-love. fighting suddenly stopped following me. i became cautious. love changed me. i started to have fear, and maybe because of watching action movies and seeing the effect of a violent life. i don't want my love ones to be involved in my own fight. there was this sense of responsibility. i really changed. the effect of movies and having to love.

Last night my auntie from California called. she asked me to take pictures of the club house in tagaytay (in Philippines) where she bought a house. at about 3:30 pm i and our driver set off to there. we were having some nice chat through our way there. i saw this cute chick walking and somewhat gave a look at me and smile a little bit. of course i felt really good. i always have been conscious about my looks. i know i am not that good looking though sometimes when i look in the mirror i look really good. maybe its just my imagination or perhaps i was feeling good about my self. you know as what they say "you'll look good if you feel good." so i always got to feel good so i could look good? cool hahaha. anyways were about to reach the club house i turn on the digital camera and started to take pictures. its was my first time there the place was still on the process of development though there are already nice roads and the clubhouse was there. the village was like in the middle of a forest and farms. its was really nice there. all that i can hear was the breeze of the wind and the sound of different birds. there was the sound of emptiness of a crowded place but the feeling of tranquility and relaxation was all over the place. anyways here are some of the pictures...

How to remove TAGA LIPA ARE! Virus

1. Run Task Manager
Windows XP(Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc)
or CTRL + ALT + DEL then look for the “processes” tab, look for all the processes with the string “Wscript” and end them all.

2. On windows Explorer
Select TOOLS -> Folder Options and at VIEW tab under “hidden files and folders” select show hidden files and folders
next, uncheck hide protected operating system files

3. Browse all your disk drives and flashdrives
(don't double click “wscript” because it'll just loop itself) look for“ autorun.inf” and “FS6519.dll.vbs” and hard-delete the 2 files, (select both files and press shift+delete and be sure all wscript at task manager are ended)

4. Lastly, click start and select run, type "regedit” press ctrl+F and search “taga lipa are” maybe you'll see it thrice, double click then replace it with “Microsoft Internet Explorer” (repeat it thrice) then exit, and restart.

How to Remove JAY.EXE Virus

To be able to locate all the mveo.exe and jay.exe files,
1. open a windows explorer window
2. click on tools then click folder options
3. choose the view tab
4. on the hidden files and folders menu tick on show hidden files and folders.
5. uncheck hide extensions for known file types
6. uncheck hide protected operating system files (recommended)
7. click apply then ok

Next we will have to remove the jay.exe and mveo.exe files
1. Press ctrl+alt+del to open taask manager
2. In the processes tab look for the mveo.exe and end process.

To delete all the jay.exe and mveo files, search for it using the search for files and folder option in the start menu.
1. type jay.exe in the searchbar
2. click more advanced option
3. put a check on search hidden files and folders
4. then click on start search
5. delete all jay.exe entries
6. repeat steps 1-5 to search for mveo.exe
7. also delete autorun.inf file

To delete registry entries
1. click on start
2. click on run
3. in the run text box type regedit
4. press ctrl+f and type in the textbox jay.exe
5. delete all entires having jay.exe entries
6. press F3 to search the next entry.

note: if an entry is in c:\windows... edit the value and go to the end of the string and
delete only the jay.exe text on the end of the string

To edit the IE windows back to its original name:
1. open regedit
2. press ctrl+f
3. type in the searchbar window title
4. If the value that appears has the jaymyka.wen9.com value, change it to Internet Explorer
note: this would be the title bar of your Internet Explorer.

After all of these steps are done:
try to look again for the jay.exe and mveo.exe files using the search for files and folders application of windows.

after deleting all those files restart your computer.

Here's How:

1. Reboot the computer in DOS mode. This can be done from a clean boot disk or by pressing F8 upon starting up Windows to enter "Command Prompt" only.
2. Type CD C:\Windows\System to enter the Windows system folder on the hard drive.
3. Delete virus files by entering three different commands, DEL ska.exe, DEL ska.dll, DEL liste.ska, and DEL wsock32.dll.
4. Rename the virus modified wsock file by entering two commands, ATTRIB -r wsock32.dll and then REN wsock32.ska wsock32.dll.
5. Type WIN to start up Windows.
6. Click on the Start button and select "Run..." from the Start menu. Type REGEDIT and click on "OK" to run the Regedit program.
7. Click on plus symbol for each directory, in order: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Current Version.
8. Click on "RunOnce" folder under the Current Version directory and see if there is a file titled "Ska.exe".
9. If Ska.exe is present in the RunOnce directory click on Ska.exe and press Delete on the keyboard.
10. Confirm the deletion (yes) of Ska.exe and select "Exit" from the Registry menu.
11. Locate and delete all copies of Happy99.exe (SKA) on the computer to avoid another infection. Diligently search email files and attachment folders.
12. Click on the Start menu and select "Files or Folders..." from the Find menu. Search for wsock32.dll on the "C" drive.
13. Right-click on the found wsock32.dll file and select Properties at the bottom of hte pop-up menu.
14. Add a checkmark next to the "Read-Only" option and click on "OK".

Note:

1. Having a clean, locked, boot disk or CD on file helps with rescue and virus removal efforts.
2. Only modify the registry as explained in the steps above to avoid serious operational errors.

Cleaning Expansion Cards and Memory Modules

One thing that a modern PC has a lot of is electrical contacts. The free and unhindered passage of tiny electrons is what makes a PC a PC and craggy contacts can cause odd, erratic problems that are darn hard to track down.

Whenever I fit an expansion card or memory module I always give the contacts a good visual inspection ... I'm looking for damage, dirt and especially corrosion. If you come across contacts that aren't clean then you need to take action. The easiest way I find of cleaning contacts is to use a pencil eraser (a pink one is best). Carefully wipe along the contact with it until clean. Take your time and work methodically - don't rush and try to do them all in one go!

Take precautions against ESD (Electro Static Discharge) wear a properly grounded wrist strap.

Note: Don't try this on CPU contacts pins - they are very delicate and will almost certainly be damaged or bent out of shape.

How to clean a Motherboard

Motherboard is the main part of your computer that contains all hardware components. Your computer motherboard could fry, if you do not keep it clean on periodically basis. Dust is the main cause to heat up your system and heat link to hardware failure. You can save your computer maintenance cost if you clean your computer on the regular basis. This will improve the cooling and performance of the motherboard components.

Not many people bother cleaning a motherboard, but this doesn't stop there being a number of theories that proclaim to be the "right way" to do it. Some people suggest cleaning the motherboard with a brush, others use distilled (de-ionized) water, some use alcohol while others blast it with compressed air.

For me i Recommend just cleaning it with a compressed air.

• To clean your motherboard first unplugs your system power from the electrical outlet.
• Using the screwdriver remove the side covers of your computer case and put them to one side.
• Check all data and power cables connections. Inspect all motherboard PCI and AGP slots.
• Remove all add-on card of your motherboard for example RAM, modem, VGA, sound card and LAN card.
• Now blow the air around all the motherboard sides and keeping away your blower nozzle 4 to 5 inches away from main board components. You can use vacuum cleaner also for this purpose but compressed air is the better solution to clean a system.
• At the end assemble back all cards, cables and side covers of your system.
• I recommend you doing this after every three months if you want to save your system life.

When cleaning your motherboard - take care! Your motherboard might be cruddy, but it works. Mess up the clean-up and you could end up with a clean but dead board.

Human beings are supposedly social animals. The instinct for social acceptance and validation dictates a great deal of culture and behaviors. Fashion, name brands, entertainment, and even vernacular is essentially dictated by the fear of being alone. Regardless of what pretentious delusions people will defend themselves with; it is unlikely that one would choose to wear skin tight pants or furry boots with pompoms given natural creature comforts. Not to mention the decision to spend two-hundred dollars a month on a gym membership while driving two blocks to the corner store. There’s that need to be seen in a trendy new vehicle as well. Yes, the need to be liked guides the human mammal through some peculiar customs, but every once in awhile there are individuals who have no interest in being a part of mainstream culture. A simple look at an obese tourist yelling about the latest episode of Survivor, while eating a deep-fried and breaded hotdog on a stick, is really the only image needed to understand where the instinct to be alone comes from.

Isolation, abandonment and agoraphobia are the three primary issues dealt with by the characters in Nim’s Island. They are handled with broad and uninspired strokes for the most part, but at least offer a theme to this over-written and occasionally disjointed Home Alone remake.

Abigail Breslin plays the titular Nim, an independent 11-year old living on an uncharted South Pacific island with her micro-biologist father Jack (Gerard Butler). When Jack leaves on ocean expeditions in the name of Science, Nim is left to her own devices with highly intelligent animal friends, including sea lions, lizards and pelicans.

Unfortunately, on one expedition, Jack is left stranded in the middle of the ocean. As he struggles to make his way back, Nim starts up e-mail correspondence with adventure novelist Alex Rover (Jodie Foster), an agoraphobic San Francisco germaphobe.

As Alex learns of Nim’s predicament, she feels compelled to travel across the world (not unlike Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone minus Michael Douglas) to save a young girl in need.

The Forbidden Kingdom

The Forbidden Kingdom is a forthcoming Hollywood martial arts-adventure film which is the first film collaboration between martial arts veterans Jackie Chan and Jet Li, with action choreography by Yuen Woo-ping. Filming was completed on August 24, 2007 and it went into post-production on September 29. Initially referred to by the working title The J & J Project, the film was officially titled The Forbidden Kingdom in April 2007. Director Robert Minkoff (who previously helmed such films as The Lion King and the Stuart Little films) will be behind the camera. Using Remote Desktop

You must first enable the Remote Desktop feature on your office computer so that you can control it remotely from another computer. You must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group to enable Remote Desktop on your Windows XP Professional-based computer.

• To setup your office computer to use Remote Desktop:
• Open the System folder in Control Panel. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click the System icon.
• On the Remote tab, select the Allow users to connect remotely to this computer check box, as shown below.
• Ensure that you have the proper permissions to connect to your computer remotely, and click OK.
• Leave your computer running and connected to the company network with Internet access. Lock your computer, and leave your office.

The Remote Desktop Connection client software allows a computer running Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000 to control your Windows XP Professional computer remotely. The client software is available on the installation CD for Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition. The client software is installed by default on computers running Windows XP Professional and Windows XP Home Edition.

• To install Remote Desktop Connection software on a client computer
• Insert the Windows XP compact disc into your CD-ROM drive.
• When the Welcome page appears, click Perform additional tasks, and then click Setup Remote Desktop Connection as shown below.
• When the installation wizard starts, follow the directions that appear on your screen.

Once you have enabled your Windows XP Professional computer to allow remote connections, and installed client software on a Windows-based client computer, you are ready to start a Remote Desktop session.

• To create a new Remote Desktop Connection
• Open Remote Desktop Connection. (Click Start, point to Programs or All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Communications, and then click Remote Desktop Connection.)

• To open a saved connection
• In Windows Explorer, open the My DocumentsRemote Desktops folder.
• Click the .Rdp file for the connection you want to open. Note: A Remote Desktop file (.rdp) file contains all of the information for a connection to a remote computer, including the Options settings that were configured when the file was saved. You can customize any number of .rdp files, including files for connecting to the same computer with different settings. For example, you can save a file that connects to MyComputer in full screen mode and another file that connects to the same computer in 800×600 screen size. By default, .rdp files are saved in the My DocumentsRemote Desktops folder. To edit an .rdp file and change the connections settings it contains, right-click the file and then click Edit.
• To log off and end the session
• In the Remote Desktop Connection window, click Start, and then click Shut Down.
• The Shut Down Windows dialog box appears.
• In the drop-down menu, select Log Off , and then click OK.

Install/Enable NetBEUI Under WinXP

Support for the NetBIOS Extended User Interface protocols (also called NetBEUI or NBF) in Windows XP has been discontinued. If your configuration requires temporary use of NetBEUI for Windows XP, follow these steps:

To install the NETBEUI protocol:

- Locate the Valueadd/msft/net/netbeui directory on your Windows XP CD.Copy nbf.sys into the %SYSTEMROOT%SYSTEM32DRIVERS directory.

- Copy netnbf.inf into the %SYSTEMROOT%INF directory.

- In Control Panel, click Network and Internet Connections and then click Network Connections.

- Right-click the connection you want to configure, and then click Properties.

- On the General tab, click the INSTALL button to add the NetBEUI protocol.

Speed Up Browsing

When you connect to a web site your computer sends information back and forth. Some of this information deals with resolving the site name to an IP address, the stuff that TCP/IP really deals with, not words. This is DNS information and is used so that you will not need to ask for the site location each and every time you visit the site. Although Windows XP and Windows XP have a pretty efficient DNS cache, you can increase its overall performance by increasing its size. You can do this with the registry entries below:

Speed up your browsing of Windows 2000 & XP machines

Here's a great tip i found on freePCtech.com to speed up your browsing of Windows XP machines. Its actually a fix to a bug installed as default in Windows 2000 that scans shared files for Scheduled Tasks. And it turns out that you can experience a delay as long as 30 seconds when you try to view shared files across a network because Windows 2000 is using the extra time to search the remote computer for any Scheduled Tasks. Note that though the fix is originally intended for only those affected, Windows 2000 users will experience that the actual browsing speed of both the Internet & Windows Explorers improve significantly after applying it since it doesn't search for Scheduled Tasks anymore.

Here's how :

Open up the Registry (to open type in regedit in the run command)and go to :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/Current Version/Explorer/RemoteComputer/NameSpace
Under that branch, select the key :
{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
and delete it.

This is key that instructs Windows to search for Scheduled Tasks. If you like you may want to export the exact branch so that you can restore the key if necessary.

This fix is so effective that it doesn't require a reboot and you can almost immediately determine yourself how much it speeds up your browsing processes.
